The Balik Probinsya Program (BPP) Executive Order is signed.
BPP aims to better prepare the Philippines in responding to emergencies such as the current COVID-19.
“BPP aims to decongest Metro Manila, promote robust regional development, and encourage equitable distribution of wealth, livelihood, opportunities and economic growth nationwide…”
The BPP is now the government’s top priority.
Government agencies concerned are urged to plan long-term solutions to help the country recover more quickly from the COVID-19 crisis and help Filipinos adapt to the “new normal.”
